Recent Polls shows that research conducted
shows that most men prefer ladies in dresses
and skirts to trousers okey those are men in Kenya. Does
the way you dress reflect your personality really?
My personal view Yes! I do believed that whatever people dress, it's a reflection of their
personality. For example, when a person dress like a rock star, well somehow,
he/she likes rock music. Aside from that, when people dress like a nun, well
that person must be really conservative. What do you think guys? :)
People will
always judge you on your appearance; whether it is your potential or
current employers, clients, coworkers, friends, associates , everyone you know
and those you do not know.
I believe that the choice of your clothing speaks Louder than the talk
The motives of ones character is always seen by what they wear. People will always judge you by the looks. If you present yourself in cheap clothing or rugs to important people, the impression of you will be the first they remember about you. When we attend interviews, we all dare to dress presentable. You always sell yourself by your looks. No wonder they say seeing is believing and actions speak louder than words.
Each time you walk out the door of your house or office is an
opportunity to make a great impression. First impressions are formed when the person first
sees and greets you. If you look well put together, you give the impression
that you take yourself seriously – not in a negative way, but in an
I-can-be-relied-upon way.
People Judge You Based on Appearances
because that there are so many people that judging people becomes
a necessity. More so, you choose what appearance to present.
Your appearance says
who you are. Therefore, you
have no excuse to be a fashion victim since the people you meet and do business
with are looking for an individual who represents the total package, so it’s
important to perfect an outward image that reflects positively on who you are
and where you stand among your peers.
So how do you always make a winning impression?
1. Do the Unexpected - In a sea of creased khakis and pretty party dresses, you’re sure to make waves in a sharp three-piece suit or vintage evening gown. In fashion, it’s all right to play the fish out of water, so long as you have the confidence to keep your cool and shine when the spotlight is squarely on you.
2. Wear Something With Meaning - Always look your best. Consider the act of putting together your “look” as though you are telling a tale through fashion – take the time to add a thoughtful accent to contribute to the depth of the plot. You only get one chance to make a first impression, so make it a good one. Be it enchanting antique jewelry or a suit you bought, you’ll not only serve to enhance your visual appeal, but add dimension and intrigue to your persona. Aim to have professional, confident and competent look.
3. Wear Quality Shoes - If you really want to know where people position themselves on fashion, start by taking a peek at what’s on their feet. By choosing your shoes like they’re the first thing that people notice instead of the last, you can transform the way you dress from head to toe while raising your station with those who are in the know.
4. Mind the Details - Paying diligence to the fine details can make you a success in business, and the same tenet holds true when getting decked to hit the town. Whether it’s shoes polished to a high shine, a tie fixed in a perfect Windsor knot, or earrings that accent the color of your eyes, it’s the little things that make lasting impressions.
5. Be Yourself- A surefire way to fail in fashion is to step outside your comfort zone by attempting to be something you are not. Nobody loves a fashion knockoff, so take time to know who you are and what you want to say through your style, placing your best foot forward with every step along the journey to self-realization
People instinctively recognize that if
one chooses to wear expensive clothing, one is making an intentional statement,
perhaps showing one's wealth or taste. Likewise, one is making a statement of
another kind if one chooses to wear inexpensive clothing.
Though, the statement, in this case, may
be that clothes are not of great importance. Those who dress to accommodate the
latest fashions show that they value keeping up with trends.
A
person's choice to wear clothing that flatters them, or that doesn't, makes a
statement about their body image and self-image. Further, there's scientific
research to support the idea that sartorial clues, the details of one's
clothes, do have significant meaning, at least within a specific culture, to
the other members of that culture.
