Kiambu woman hires hitmen to kill husband over land, killers reveal plot to man leading to wife’s arrest

A house wife in Ruiru was on Thursday arrested after hitmen she allegedly hired to kill her husband reported the matter to the police.

 

Lucy Nyambura was arrested at her Gitambaya home hours after the four gunmen went to the police and told them she wanted Robert Gikonyo killed so that she could gain control of the family’s property.

Police sources said the gunmen reported that Nyambura gave them more than Sh100,000 to kill Gikonyo, the principal of Gatamae secondary school in Kiambu.

The killers then approached Gikonyo and told him of the plan for his murder.
