President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday named his deputy William Ruto as acting President for the duration of his stay at the Hague.

Uhuru entered Harambee House with all the trappings of power but left as a private citizen in a convoy of only three vehicles. 

An hour later, Ruto took over the Presidential motorcade and left his new temporary office with police outriders and about 10 top of the range vehicles.
