Jason Garnett probably didn’t feel like his luck was in when last Friday he found his soldier would not stand down. After going to work at his job in a local hotel, Garnett became concerned when he was still experiencing a stiffness at lunchtime.
“You should have seen the look on his face when I told him what was wrong. He was in hysterics at first, but then he realized how serious the situation was,” doctors reportedly told the Sun.
Garnett was taken to hospital, where he was diagnosed with priapism – rare condition where erections do not subside.
It is not caused by sexual desire or stimulation, but, untreated, it can permanently damage the penis.
Garnett was left black and blue from the experience, one that he says felt like a horror film:
“Ending up in this hospital, is one of the most embarrassing day of my lifetime” Garnett reportedly told the Sun newspaper.
“Seeing them stab my penis with a needle was a horrible experience, like something out of a horror film. The pain was 10 out of 10.”
Garnett, and his penis, are now recovering.
