MAN WHO ATTACKED RAILA ODINGA TO BE CHARGED

The man who attacked CORD Principal Raila Odinga and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya on Monday in Kinango was arrested on Tuesday morning. 

The man identified as Lengo Mdzomba was arraigned in court on Tuesday afternoon. The man attacked Raila as he was dancing at a function in Kinango. Raila and other CORD coalition partners were in the area popularizing the Pesa Mashinani Campaign.

 The incident shocked many due to the unexpected nature of it. Both Raila and Mvurya's aides were not close when the incident took place. Questions have been raised as to what was the man’s intention concerns over security for leaders in the country.
