Death of Kenyan White Rhino Leaves Only 6 Alive in the World

Suni a 34 year old Northern White Rhino was found dead on Friday by rangers at the Ol Pejeta conservancy meaning only now six are left alive in the world.

Suni was one of the last two breeding males in the world as no northern white rhinos are believed to have survived the wild.

Suni was born at the Dvur Kralove Zoo in Czech Republic in 1980 but was brought at Ol Pejeta conservancy in 2009 to take part in a breeding programme.

Although conservationists at Ol Pejeta claim he did not die as a result of poaching, this vice is contributing greatly to the demise of wildlife poaching.

RIP SUNI #SAD#
