I NEED WEED FOR MY WORK - NYS OFFICER

A 22-year-old officer of the National Youth Service will spend nine months in jail for keeping bhang at the barracks on Thika Road.
  
Ernest Owino had seven rolls of bhang valued at Sh140 when he was arrested on August 1 at the NYS barracks gate. A guard at the entrance found Owino with the drug in his pocket after a search.

 Owino pleaded for mercy in court saying: “I graduated from the National Youth Service last year and I am still looking for employment. Currently, I work at building sites and I use bhang because of the nature of my work.”
