Scotland has
voted 'no' to independence, after millions of voters took to the
polls to decide the future of the United Kingdom.
The vote was split at 55.4% to
44.7%, with 28 out of the 32 council areas voting No, and four voting Yes.Turnout
was a huge 84.6%.
First MinisterAlex Salmond conceded defeat, said the 1.6m Scots who voted
for independence showed the scale of support for change.
