The prevalence of 'soft break ups' where couples remain connected through social media can lead to harmful mental affects, according to psychologists.
Keeping tabs on former lovers either
openly, or by lurking unseen on their Facebook
or twitter is counter productive to the healing process after a relationship
hits the rocks.
Tara Marshall, a lecturer in
psychology at London's Brunel University has warned that wallowing while
tracking an ex-partner's status can harm that person's recovery.
