A man was on Tuesday morning shot dead at Central Police Station in
Nairobi after attacking a police officer with a machete.The man stormed into the police station and hacked the officer who was manning the police station gate. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect was suffering from a mental disorder after documents from a mental hospital were retrieved from his pocket.
The injured police officer is currently receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital and he is said to be in stable condition. Central OCPD Paul Wanjama says the officer had no choice but to use force in self-defense
