A delegation of elders from Migori County that was sent to seek peace with the president after the heckling saga was yesterday left stranded at Uhuru Park after a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta failed.
The delegation which was ferried to Nairobi by governor Okoth K’Obado spent the whole day yesterday at Uhuru Park waiting to be given the clearance to meet Uhuru.
After hours of waiting, their governor Okoth K’Obado then told them that the President had rescheduled their meeting to Thursday morning.
The long hours of waiting however also led to the ballooning of numbers of the delegation.
What started off as a delegation of 50 people sharply rose to 400 people.
Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero visited the group at Uhuru Park in solidarity with the group.
