A man has
been charged with assault after tattooing a smiley face and a crude word on the
arm of a 12-year-old girl.
Police say Randall Charlton III branded the
youngster while she was staying at his house in Ceterville, Pennysylvania. The
tattoo, printed on her left forearm, consisted of a yellow smiley face with a
derogatory word above it, the Erie Times-News reports. Charlton has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, corruption of minors, simple assault and tattooing a minor. He was unable to post bail and remains in county prison.
