PRESIDENT'S STOLEN LIMO ARRIVES IN NAIROBI


The stolen escort car belonging to President Uhuru Kenyatta's State House fleet has crossed to Kenya after leaving Uganda's capital Kampala at around 1pm.


The car, without number plates, was seen leaving the Counter Terrorism offices in Naguru, Kampala near Police Headquarters on Thursday.

The car's registration plates had been removed although it bore an insurance and tax sticker on the windscreen, which Police suspected to have been forged.


The BMW was found abandoned in Wandegeya  trading centre near Makerere University. Police suspects that the unidentified carjackers  abandoned their loot on realizing they are being trailed.

Currently the vehicle is under heavy security at  Flying squad headquarters in Nairobi.

The brief handover ceremony was conducted at the CT offices. At around midday police marshaled some civilian youths in the barracks to wash the car earlier covered with tarpaulin. The uniformed officers then fuelled it with gas contained in five 20 litres plastic jerrycans.
